Features of Curriculum

Curriculum of Tomoni Japanese Language School has following 3 features.

(1)Improve your adulthood while upgrading language skill.

The course is designed as your Japanese improves from beginner to intermediate to upper intermediate to advanced levels, your perspective and way of thinking will gradually broaden.
Our main focus is to help you grow and develop, so that you will be able to play an active role in university, vocational school, or in the workplace.
Beginner level:“Know the Community”――Learn about the area where the school is located so that you can understand daily life and express yourself in Japanese.
Intermediate level:“Learn Japan”――Students will learn about Japan and its people, then able to express or write their opinion.
Upper Intermediate Level:“Think about Japan and own country”――Students will compare and think about various aspects of their own country and Japan, and develop an objective view of both countries.
Advance Level:“leave the nest to the world”――learn and think about various global issues, and able to make own opinions and wide range of views, which allows them to see things on a global scale.

(2)Choose the class according your desire career.

From the intermediate level, we offer classes that allows students to choose according to their desired future path such as going on to university, vocational school or getting a job.
In particular, we have “Career Design” class at the upper-intermediate level. Where our students acquire knowledge and Japanese language skills necessary for their respective career paths (for example, how to write a statement of purpose and interview practice for university or vocational school entrance, or Japanese corporate culture and business Japanese for employment).

(3)Deep Connection with the Community

From the beginner level, we have classes which allow to involve with local community. As a result, students do not have to learn Japanese only within the confines of the school. They can upgrade Japanese language and themselves through the bonding with local community.
We organize events such as the Spring and Fall Harvest Festival or TOMONI Festival. Students of advanced level will take chance to give presentation, discuss about their experiences in front of students from neighborhood school or high schools with an agreement, thereby increasing their awareness of each other’s multicultural background.

Course Guidance

Regular Course: 2years, (April Entry, 1st Shift(Monrning Class))

This course is designed for students who wish to learn Japanese from the basics and gradually improve their Japanese language skills over the course of two years from beginner to intermediate to upper intermediate to advanced levels, and aiming to pass JLPT N1. Who are pursuing for score of 280/450 or higher on the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU), or score 480 or higher on the Business Japanese Proficiency Test (BJT). By getting enough time, you will be able to acquire required Japanese skills.

Regular Course: 1year 6months, (October Entry, 2nd shift (Afternoon Class))

This course is designed for the students who have already completed the beginner level in their home country, and aiming to pass JLPT N1, EJU 280/450 or higher, BJT 480 or higher in 1.5 years. This course is map out to help you pass the JLPT N1. You will learn the necessary Japanese language skills in a short period by making use of previous learning achievement.

About Payment

(1)Screening fee

20,000Yen Payment must be made together with the application documents.

(2)Tuition Fee

1st Year payment: Payment must be made after the Certificate of Eligibility is issued.
2nd Year Payment: Payment must be made before the start of a new semester.
